Well, I do not have much done this weekend kwilting not concerned. So I thought it was an excellent opportunity for Mauritius to say something - that is what this blog go! :-) This weekend was very unpleasant. The wind was almost the apartment upside-down blow. I think our experience it is much worse, because we are on the foot of the mountain. I'm not a scientist, but I think the mountain (and other surrounding mountains) form a channel through which the wind blows, and it reinforces the intensity of the wind. The fact that we are on the top floor of an apartment living does not help much. Apparently the container store this wind will keep on blowing until mid September. Unfortunately began "Cyclone Season" from October's side ... * sigh * Last year no cyclones hit the island, although a few close passes. Hope this season is all going so well. Instead of complaining about the wind, let me show you rather have a few pictures that we have taken since we live here.
No, it's not necessary to jump tables. This guy will not come in the house - well, not in ours. This is one of the many reptiles the container store that we all saw on the island. They can change color, but not like a chameleon it. They may be lighter the container store / darker, and I've seen that they can be green and black. We have hordes of them in the garden prior to the winter. 'll Have to see how this summer the container store is ... other reptiles, geckos, which can take over your home if you are not looking, and snakes. I've only seen one snake, but my husband the container store has seen two.
This is Le Morne mountain. Back then, in the 1800s, a number of slaves hiding here. While hiding here, the government scrapped slavery and was therefore free the slaves. Some people are slaves to seek the good news to share with them. Those who hide themselves, thought the people come and catch their return into slavery, and when this mountain and jumped took their own lives. Oh, it's such a sad story, and it is still a true story ...
Do you see how clear the water. Mauritius is a great place if you like diving or snorkeling. The water is clear Kristel, and there are thousands of fish that you can see in all sizes and colors ...
This is a mangrove plant. I have noticed them where they grow at the high-water mark of the sea. This plant fascinates me terribly, and they look very nice so tack together. I have them just to the South West of the island saw, and is uncertain whether they might in other parts of the island also grows. You can read more about this plant. This is of course one of my favorite photos. This is one of the many picturesque sunsets we enjoy in the evenings. It's certainly an advantage to the west of the island can stay ... :-) The best is when you see this picture while sitting on the beach and have a picnic, or even a sun-downer enjoy. I think that's enough for now Mauritius. Will ye not much care about dreaming ... Otherwise I suddenly one day you all at my door. Goodbye for now! Elzaan
